Hi, my name is Ron Iseri. I have been teaching at CAMS since 1993. I started as a substitute teacher because I was in the process of changing careers; I went from being the owner of Lianne's Hallmark in Long Beach to teaching mathematics. This is my second career and it really is much more rewarding.

Believe it or not, in many ways selling merchandise and teaching are very similar. One major difference is that my customers are now a captive audience. Before they could come and go whenever at their leisure. Now they have to be on time and they cannot leave until I say so.

I still have to deal with the public, only now it is the parents of my "customers". I make my new "store" look nice and appealing and I have to answer many questions as in the past. However, my employees don't get paid anymore, unless you count the grades that they earn, and I cannot hire or fire them.
